The location was decent, about a mile from the BART. The room had a microwave, a nice surprise! Free coffee and tea in the lobby helped keep me going.

My daughter turned into a buffet for bugs and the sheets looked like they had been to a make-up party. Not quite the spa experience I signed up for!

I found the hotel room to be quite shabby.

The hotel room was a nonsmoking room, however our sheets and the room all smelled like cigarette smoke. There was a mixup about our reservations - we had been billed as a no-show the day before. It seems to have been fixed, although I haven't gotten my credit card bill yet to see if I was actually charged for the extra night.

Great walking options to nearby attractions. The cleanliness of the room was disappointing, with some stained linens. The microwave was a useful addition but lacking kitchen utensils limited our ability to prepare meals. It was a mixed experience.

Ok hotel to visit the city of San Francisco. For American standaard a good continental breakfast.

Hotel is according to the hotelmanagement structural not safe during a earthquak and they put that un a sign at the entrance. Would be good to mention that on the bookingsite. Very thin walls, you can hear the guest next door talking. The location doesnot look an area where you safely walk in the surrounding in the evening.

I had an event to attend in Berkeley and the hotel was convenient, affordable, and comfortable. I will visit again on my next trip.

Easy access from highway, location near UCB, lobby architectural style

Outdated carpets in hallways, need for more thorough cleaning of rooms and linens!!! Could use consistent soundproofing to ensure a quieter stay!!! Potential for enhanced customer service when dealing with guest complaints and incidents!!!

This was one of the worst hotels that I have stayed at! I travel a lot and can tell you, you would have a nicer stay and save about $60 per night at a motel 6!! It smelled so bad when I walked in the lobby that the manager opened the doors to help air it out. The rooms were clean but very old hotel. My toilet wouldn't flush, and the AC didn't work! Not to mention that they are on the Bed bug Registry, though I don't I have any issues, it sure keeps you awake with the eebygeebys all night long! I was on the second floor which also had a 50th birthday party! I wasn't gonna spoil a good party by complaining but an old not so insulated hotel should not have parties past 10:00pm as the noise was sooooo Lou and went on till about 2:00am! Save your money and book elsewhere!!!!!!!

breakfast, parking, easy to find,

no sound separation between unit. can hear snoring next door and squeaking from above. took over 4 hours to get someone out to unclog the toilet and the water underneath the tub.

Great free Wi-Fi and parking. Room was noisy and AC didn't work well.

The staff were helpful, parking was easy, access from the freeway was also easy.

There was dirt in places that were indicative of very poor housekeeping. Directly below the faucet on a lip in the sink was black, granular dirt. I washed it away with a handful of water. Absolutely unacceptable and inexcusable. Similar dirt was found all across the bathroom. There was mold, fungus and dirt inside the coffee machine. I cleaned it out by sloshing a little water and a paper towel around the inside of the coffee machine, but I still could not bring myself to drink the coffee I made. Did this lack of cleanliness extend to the kitchen? Should I risk the breakfast. Even now, thinking about it promotes a gag reflex.

Facility beautiful, lots of amenities--- pool, exercise room, breakfast that was very nice, laundry, very convenient location to highway and Berkeley. Staff superb.

Computer in the "business center" was very, very slow. Manager said it was a temporary situation, but I was there for 5 days and nothing changed. I think in this day we ought to have the ability to fix a computer used by so many.

Updated, functional room with new furniture, remodeled bathrooms plus 2 queen beds. Pleasant hotel employees all round. Ideal central location, very close to San Francisco. Also, pretty close to restaurants.
